One year ago today I got this crazy idea. I would start writing a blog! My reasons for starting are a little sad. We were in a new state, living in a tiny apartment and I had absolutely no one to talk to. As most of you know, a 3 and 2 year old don’t always make for the best conversation.  This would be a place where I could write down everything I wanted to say. So I started writing and never looked back.

I never thought in a million years that my blogging would go in all of the directions it has. I have had the opportunity to try great products, I’ve been on TV and I have met the most amazing people. I think the people are my favorite part, which is surprising, because I am the most anti social person I know.  There is something about being surrounded by women that have the courage to share their story every day. The blogging community has been my greatest asset on this adventure. They have helped me through every twist and turn whether it’s a personal problem, the jungle of WordPress or the color scheme of my site.

There are many things I discovered over the past year that I never thought I would. First is a love of writing, second is a group of wonderful “friends” that I now consider just friends. While these things have meant the world to me, the thing I appreciate the most, is that I found myself. I was lost before I started blogging and now I feel like I have direction. Writing this blog has afforded me a feeling of being content.

I want to send a big thank you to all of my readers. I would keep writing even if you weren’t there but it makes it so much more special that you are.
