I am so behind in the 30 Days of Me challenge! Time has eluded me in the last few days but here is my chance to redeem myself!

Day 12 – Something you are OCD about

Honestly, I am a little afraid to start writing down all of the things I am OCD about. People might start thinking I need professional help! Without further ado, my OCD list…

  • I cannot have people touching my face (OMG)
  • I DO NOT share drinks with anyone!
  • If I SEE someone touch my food, I just can’t eat it.
  • When I make something with eggs, I always make a pattern with the ones left in the carton.
  • I always, always, always make sure I chew an equal amount of times on each side otherwise my mouth feels uneven
  • I don’t do crowds while shopping. I lose my ability to think and function.
  • Soap MUST be put in the washer before the clothes!
  • Dishes have to be completely rinsed before going into the dishwasher and silverware must be handle side down UNLESS it’s a steak knife and then it goes blade down
  • Whatever tools I am using to do a project, job, craft have to be neatly laid out beside me before I can start
  • I don’t like anyone touching my computer
  • I will not eat food that makes my hands messy, BBQ ribs for example.
  • I don’t do finger paints
  • The bottom of the covers MUST be tucked in at all times. If my feet stick out while I sleep, I lose my mind
  • I hate when the covers on the bed get messed up. This happens when Mr. M2C or the kids roll up in the comforter.
  • When I load groceries onto the belt at the store, all of the heavy stuff like cans go first, juice and boxed items, frozen food and meat, then produce. Last is always cookies, bread and marshmallows. I also load groceries into the back of my car like a puzzle. There is never any space between the items and they don’t roll around.

I think I better wrap this one up before they show up with a straight jacket!

Day 13 – Someone or something that has impacted your life

When I was 19 or 20 my dad decided to leave. My parents got divorced and he wanted my mom to sell the house. At that point we all scattered and I had to move in with my boyfriend. His decision to leave and sell the house impacted almost every experience I had for the remainder of my 20′s. It altered the course of my life. I had to work harder and go to school less. My boyfriend and I were broke and bummed out. It was a LOT of stress to put on a teenage relationship that was less than 2 years old BUT we made it through. We got married 8 years later! Now we have a house, two kids, two cars and a golden retriever! Happy ending!

Day 14 – Somewhere I would like to travel

This is one of those questions that is impossible to have just one answer. Mr. M2C and I have always wanted to visit Germany. Being a Holt-Lauterbach, I think we’ll fit in just fine! I of course want to sit at a cafe in Paris and drink coffee. I want to travel through Italy eating pasta and drinking amazing wine. I also want to travel through Japan. My mom lived there for a time growing up and our family has amazing stories. I would love to see the places in those stories.

Stop by tomorrow for more 30 Days of Me!

I think some of those OCD traits make sense! I’m the same way on the washer and the dishwasher. LOL @ the eggs though – how do you think I found mine after my OCD hubby got through with them the other day? :)

I am the same with sharing {or not sharing} drinks, the washer and the dishes too! Perhaps this is the “new” normal?!

Maybe I’ll see you in Italy – it’s one on my list, too!

your OCD list is hysterical! i read it with my daughter and we were laughing realizing we have some of those same issues :]

I would love to see Japan some day. I am half-Japanese and just feel like I should. And I agree about people touching my face. One of my mom’s friends touched my face the other day and I just wondered “why me???”
