Are you ready for some football?! I sure am! Every fall Mr. M2C and I pick our fantasy teams and settle in for 16 weeks of regular season football. Sunday’s are a day for lounging around snacking and screaming at the television. I try to come up with with a football themed menu every Sunday and I know with 16 weeks of football keeping things fresh can be as rough as a fumble on a breakaway. This year, have no fear! I would like to introduce Football Friday! Every Friday during the regular season, I will provide a Sunday football menu guaranteed to make your family do an end zone dance. I’ll also have ideas to bring the family together and spark a little family friendly competition.

Now, lets talk fantasy football! Ladies, this is a great way to enjoy the game of football. I was not always the huge football fan I am today but I took the leap and joined a fantasy league. I figured I would be watching or listening to football every week anyway so I might as well try to make some money at it. So far, there has been no money for me BUT I am getting closer every year! Try Yahoo! Sports or ESPN.com. These sites offer free leagues and if you can’t get enough friends and family to play, join a public league and make some new friends! Picking a cool name for your team is VERY important.

Below is a list of names for your team in case you need a little help… I will start out with my own team names:

  • Victorious Secret
  • Scorgasm

I play with the boys so I like to keep the inuendo going but if you are looking for something different try one of these:

  • Bone Crushin’ Ballerina
  • Pink Fluffy Monsters
  • Dangerous Diva
  • Jalapeno Hottie

We are just two shorts weeks away from regular season football so now is the time to get everything ready. Make this the year you make football family time. Your husband will love you and you just might have a little fun.     I totally cracked up at “Scorgasm” That is a brilliant name! I’m not much into football, but I do sit down & watch the Steelers with my hubby occasionally- especially if we are talking Super Bowl! We watch college ball too, so football is on every day during the fall in seems!

    I can’t wait for football to start! I’m in my second year of playing fantasy football and my team is Queso Face (I have an awesome pic of my daughter after eating queso that’s my avatar)! I’m curious to see how my team performs this year with the loss of Arian Foster. :(

    HUGE hockey fan! Unfortunately, I’m alone at my house. I try to sneak games in at night when I can. It’s the most fun to watch in person!
