A few months ago, when everyone was writing their 2011 wrap-up type posts, I came across one entitled “10 things that bloggers should stop doing in 2012″ or something like that. Being a blogger, I was curious as to what we were all doing to push this guys’ buttons. There were some legitimate complaints like “Stop using Captcha to leave a comment”. I agree…just stop. It’s time to step up to the plate on this one. It’s the tell tale sign of a newbie and that you probably possibly don’t know what you are doing.
Anyway, back to the list and the one that really stuck out for me…
He said “Stop using the word snarky”. First, I was bummed because this word was not part of my regular vernacular before last year and it was kind of growing on me. Then I appreciated the irony of the snarky way he was telling us all to stop saying snarky. Lastly, I had a mini, not really even close to, panic attack…What in the world am I supposed to say now?! If I can’t say snarky, what could I replace it with?
I thought for a long time and finally came up with the perfect word…tart! That’s right people, 2012 is the year of “tart”. Now, every time you find yourself about to say “snarky”, just replace it with tart. Try it out… “Oh! She is being tart” or “I can’t stand that tart bitch”. Sounds kind of nice right?
I have all the confidence in the world that tart will catch on as the “it” word of 2012. So, use it often, tell your friends and here’s to hoping that “Tart” is on the list for “Things Bloggers Should Stop Doing in 2013″!
