Not the Vacation I was Expecting

I’mmmmm Baaaaaaack!

From where you ask? Seaworld Orlando! Seaworld has always been a favorite place for our family. We started going back in California when the kids were little. It was always the perfect getaway for us. The kids had fun, they learned something and we always had a fun relaxing day.

So this year when we wanted to plan a mini vacation of course we thought…Seaworld Orlando! We have never been to the park in Florida and it’s just far enough away that we can stay in a hotel for a couple of nights.

It was all set and we were on our way!

For anyone that is confused…Seaworld Orlando is NOT like Sea World San Diego.

You know what they don’t put in the brochure? That your hotel and the entire park is crawling with rude Europeans that travel in groups of 100. FYI to all the French parents out there, sending your 14 year old daughter off to a foreign country with a chain smoking 25 year old guy as the chaperone…not the best decision.

The other thing they don’t tell you? Orlando is located on the surface of the sun. That’s right, every day it was 120…BAZILLION degrees! When you can smell the members of your freshly showered family as you walk behind them…it too hot.

This was our first visit to a theme park since having tossed our stroller. You know what is good about a stroller? It holds EVERYTHING. Every pair of sunglasses, souvenir cups, half eaten bags of cotton candy, wallets, purses, phones…EVERYTHING! With no stroller I was a pack mule for all of the “stuff”. Next time I visit a theme park, I’m borrowing a baby just for the stroller.

I know it seems that I had a horrible time but actually my family was pretty great. We were miserable but we were miserable together!
